Dear Suzan and Paul,
We have had our new puppy for one week now and we are finding him to be quite amazing. From the moment he arrived, he hasn’t had one accident in his housebreaking routine. We never had a puppy that did this well because you always
expect a mishap along the way. Not him though!
He is so very, very smart for a ten week old puppy .He already knows how to “sit” on command and knows what the word “no” means. We are now teaching him the “down” command and he is responding very well. We find him to be very well socialized. He is friendly to everyone that we have introduced him to, be it man, woman, or child. We love him very much and he’s working hard to fill the void in our life after the unexpected death of our beloved eight year old dobie, “Monty”. We are so glad that we located you in our search for a puppy. If we feel that our new dog needs a companion in the future, you can be sure we will contact you again.

Sorry it has been so long since i last wrote to you. I just thought i would send you a quick update on Armani, he is doing very, very well. He goes running with me everyday and seems to love it, he is sooooo smart and sweet natured and i am convinced that there is not another dog out there with a better personality, he keeps me laughing, but he is also a big lover (he loves nothing more than to jump up on the couch and watch tv with me).
He is getting sooo big its incredible, i suddenly had a moment of realization the other day when i started thinking about just how big he is going to be getting. I am having a little trouble with his left ear, it is refusing to stand all the way but i think that that problem will be solved shortly. Armani just lost his third tooth yesterday, and i have to say i am not too sad to see those puppy teeth go. I will try to write again soon and send ya’ll some pictures. I hope everything is going well for ya’ll and that the move did not stress you too badly. Keep doing what you are doing, the dogs you are producing are incredible!

We are so happy with King Baron. He is exactly the way you described him and is getting bigger every day. He has personality plus and I cannot begin to tell you about his great personality. The girls love him and can’t wait to get home from school to play with him. But he is really my husbands dog, he comes home from work to have lunch with him.
Thank you so much, he is everything you said he would be.

Just wanted to let you know how Jet is doing. He got his call name because my husband and brother in law both worked on fighter jets in the navy. He is wonderful. His personality is just what I was hoping for. Jet loves everyone in the family (he finally warmed up to my husband) and is so excited when the girls get home from school. He is reserved around people he hasn’t met before, which is also good. He takes his cue from us. When we took him to Petsmart people just raved about how beautiful he is. Anyway, I was checking in to let you know how well he is doing and how much we love him.

Paul; She is beautiful ! Our baby has a great personality and disposition. She walked into our home like she has been here before…….she is a very self-confident puppy!! It took our Trinity a few days before she was comfortable enough to explore. We decided to name her “Kiera”…..she has the most beautiful eyes. Thanks for sending us this puppy. To say the least…we love her ! I told the gentleman that picked up Kiera’s sister at the airport that this was our second Desert Legend Dobie and that you guys breed a great dog ! Take care and we will send you pictures soon. Thanks again for our little beauty !

She’s truly a dream. I’ll send you a picture of Zena and our kids…Zena has really attached
herself to our 1.5 yrs old Genevieve. They are so close!
I can’t wait to finish up her shots so we can get her out on walks.
I gotta tell you…I gave my vet a sample of the “backer rods” and Susan’s taping technique. They were impressed with how Zena’s ears were cut and set. I taught them how to do the setting Susan’s way and they were very excited!
This vet office has tried every thing to keep cropped ears set…and Susan’s technique truly amazed them! You have a very smart lady there Paul! Thank God someone figured out this dilemma–Simple for the vet and owner to do yet comfortable for the dog! Everyone’s happy!
Take care and we’ll keep in touch…. Katy, Don, Noah and Genevieve

Hey, y’all. For the first time ever, my vet, Nathan ——–, is impressed by a breeder. He has been setting her ears the last couple of weeks, but if he went down far enough, she was shaking them loose. So, yesterday he called me and wanted to know how you all did them. I finally found the backer rods- thanks for your help, Suzan and today when he saw your sheet of instructions and the rods, he was so impressed. He loved the rods and wants to start using them for all his ears.
Anyhow, Keith has Emma out for a long walk right now.
Y’all be blessed,

Armani is doing wonderfully, he seems to love it here in Florida. I took him to the vet yesterday to get his next shot and to get some help putting his ears up as I had been having some problems getting the right one to stand up right. I can’t believe how big he has gotten, his paws are almost the size of my palms, and his back is up past my knees already. I get compliments on him everywhere i go, the vet and the vet techs couldn’t stop talking about how big he is going to be, and how handsome he is. I am so in love with him and i can’t thank ya’ll enough for helping to bring him into my life, I just can’t seem to get enough of him and all of my friends adore him as well. His best friend is a very large Pitbull named Chloe, he just loves to go play with her. It is very funny to watch, because she is so much bigger than him right now. Anyways, I hope all is going well with ya’ll and I will send pictures soon but I broke my digital camera so I had to start over with one that takes film. Let me know if you have any questions.

Just a quick note to let you know the puppy arrived safely and on time. He is absolutely beautiful and quite the busy body in familiarizing himself with his new surroundings. We are all very pleased with our new puppy, Degas.
I could go on but I will just say that all of you have made this a great experience. We thank you. And of course, we will send a few pictures.

Just want you to know we think of you often. We are truly blessed to have our girl, Roxie. She is popular with everyone we meet. She was two January 26 of this year. She loves us and is loyal like crazy. When I get home from work she greets me with a big grin and excited howling. She is our “child” and is great with our grandkids. She is super spoiled and we love her to pieces!
I guess you are not breeding “regular sized” dobies anymore but am glad that you did with Roxie. Her parents are Fuhrer and Zeke. We couldn’t be happier and talk about getting another all the time. However, we are afraid to “share the love” feeling like she won’t pay as much attention to us if there is another Dobie in the house.
Just wanted to tell you how much we appreciate you and the fine breeding line that Roxie comes from. EVERYONE thinks she is the most beautiful dog they have seen. It is hard to contain our pride in this most beautiful dog. She is very much loved!!
Yes Roxy is very spoiled already, her morning ritual is going outside then hopping in bed with me until I get up for work and every time we take her in the car she has to get in the front seat on my lap like a little baby. I’m not sure how much longer she will fit on my lap since she already weighs 50 pounds but it sure makes people in the other cars laugh.
We just started her in training classes and she was the “teachers pet”, we already taught her sit and down, she is very smart.
I think she is a happy dog and she gets along well with all our pets, especially the other 2 dogs. I just thought I would let you know that she is VERY LOVED and WELL taken care of.
She even gets to pick out her own toys at the pet store!

Just a quick note, Little Blue (Liadan) is great and not so little anymore 40# +. We just completed her first puppy class. Basic socialization, sit, down, stuff like that and she got “Top Dog” honors, as the most consistently well behaved puppy, although we think she got by on looks!
Thanks for all your help. Pics to follow!

Paul & Suzan,
Just wanted to drop you an e-mail and let you know that Tasha & Jade are doing great!! They are two of the sweetest and most loving dogs I have ever seen. Jade definitely takes after her mother Shammy, she is a real jumper - we never know where we will find her, on her cage or on the outside patio table. We are so happy with our decision to get two because they keep each other company and have so much fun playing tug-a-war. Thank you so much for all your help and for providing us with great puppies.
Attached is a recent photo - Tasha is now 18 months and Jade will be a year next month.

Hi Paul and Suzan Just wanted to let you know that everything is great.
Sorry I haven’t been in touch sooner, our phone line has been out and it just got fixed today. He’s a very smart boy. He’s almost potty trained. He sits and gives paw also. He has a new friend, our 8 month old kitten. They run and play around the house. He loves the outside and the SNOW. We’ll send some pictures as he grows. He’s got his appointment this Thursday to get his ears done. He’s taken over my wife’s chair as his daytime bed. Just wanted to say thanks again he’s the best. Thanks again

Baron is great and sends his love to his mom and dad! The kids are loving him - his dobie sister - Duchess - is not so sure about him yet so they have not had any play time.
We are having a great time….thanks!

“After I got back from the airport after picking up our new puppy, the puppy sat next to me on the way home. Then I let my husband hold her. Now I can’t get the puppy away from him……..”
December 2004 (Georgia)
(This dog was shipped to Georgia for the daughter’s Christmas present. When she called us to tell us her dog arrived safely she was in tears):
“When I picked her up at the airport, my mouth fell open. I could not believe how beautiful she was. This dog was 20 times more beautiful than I ever imagined, even after seeing the pictures you sent us. When we got home she crawled up to my neck and cuddled to me and fell asleep, just like you said she does………her feet are huge”
Thank you, Kaytie

“People were always jumping the fence and my house was broken into 4 times before I got the Doberman from you. Since I got Legend I have not had a single break-in at my house, people don’t even cut across my yard any more. My friends don’t come into my house without knocking any more, they know better. This Doberman protects my house and me just like you said, and that’s without any training, I just love her.”
“I took Legend to the vet last week and the vet said ‘that’s the best looking Doberman I’ve ever seen, where did you get her?’
I feel safe and secure now, she is really precious.
This is what our vet said about the dog we got from you “This Doberman puppy is so beautiful and intelligent, if you know anyone that wants to buy a Doberman then tell them they have to buy from this breeder”…….
I used to have trouble with people coming onto my property and damaging things and stealing. I got three Dobermans ( all girls) from you and no one bothers me any more. They live in the house with me and protect my property. I would never give up any on my girls. They all have the sweetest disposition.
Dr. John ……
